News
This section informs users of their rights and procedures : new regulations, payment dates, rates, useful information about rights and procedures. It has a calendar reminding users of the formalities to be carried out in the current month and offers subscription to a newsletter published every Thursday.
Service-public.fr proposes 14 RSS news threads and 18 RSS threads targeting specific groups (Consumers, Foreigners in France, French citizens abroad, Young people, Seniors, etc.).

A set of data sheets arranged in an efficient, practical "road map" to guide citizens smoothly through the many formalities to be carried out when certain changes occur in their lives.
Your rights and procedures
This practical guide gives users all the information they need to exercise their rights, find out about their obligations and carry out administrative procedures. It is divided into ten themes, each with several folders. For each topic, service-public.fr gathers all the relevant resources : data sheets on rights or procedures, reference laws, definitions of administrative terms, extra information on other web sites, online procedures or forms, addresses, telephone numbers and business hours of the local civil service able to supply information or carry out the appropriate procedure.
Ask a question
Here users can ask a question by e-mail or watch an educational presentation of the 3939 and message service with examples of typical questions and answers (they can listen to recordings of 3939 calls).
Service-public.fr answers e-mails by directing users to the department best able to provide information on the rules and procedures applicable to the situation they describe and towards the national or local services equipped to deal with it. This service does not provide individual answers (service-public.fr does not have access to personal files processed by the civil service) or legal advice.
Answers to nearly 300 frequently asked questions are published online.
The message and 3939 services are covered by the Marianne quality charter (commitments on the welcome given to the public within the civil service, whether in person, by telephone, by post or e-mail).
On-line forms and services
Access to online procedures which enable citizens to carry out a number of procedures round-the-clock from their desks ; downloadable, printable online forms, some of which can be filled in online, and calculation modules providing a simulation of a sum to be received or paid (income tax, update of child support payments, estimated pensions, calculation of a loan, etc).
Connection to mon.service-public.fr
Service-public.fr gives access to mon.service-public.fr, a personal account enabling users to carry out and monitor administrative procedures. Users also have a confidential repository for storing personal data (name, address, etc.), personal documents or the documentary evidence required for official procedures.
Civil service directory
This directory lists 10,000 national agencies, 60,000 local agencies and 14,000 managers and provides contact details for civil service agencies or staff as well as the opening hours of 36,000 town halls in France.
The directory provides direct access to town halls and European and international organisations (French embassies abroad, European states, European institutions, international organisations).
It is updated every day.
Legifrance
A link to the French legal reference site, with direct access to the latest Official Journal, selected regulations each month, a search engine for legal texts, all laws in force, international conventions and circulars.
Vie-publique.fr
A link to the website published by La Direction de l’information légale et administrative to provide a better understanding of public policies, with direct access to the sections : Institutions, Legal Panorama, Public Reports and Public Debates.

About service-public.fr
Service-public.fr is the French civil service’s official web site. It aims to give citizens a single front office for administrative information and access to online procedures by bringing together all the resources available on the civil service network and organising them to suit users’ needs. Its mission is to simplify routine relations between the civil service and citizens.
Service-public.fr is produced by La Direction de l’information légale et administrative in association with national and local civil services which help enrich and update the official portal.
It observes the rules of accessibility which apply to all public sites since the Act of 11 February 2005 on the equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of the disabled. The site has been designed to meet the standards of the Référentiel Général d’Accessibilité pour les Administrations (RGAA) and the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
