Retirees abroad: simplified procedures

Each year, more than 1.5 million retirees living abroad must prove that they are still alive with each of their pension plans, in order to continue receiving their French pensions. They must therefore produce a life certificate and possibly a certificate of marital status validated by a competent authority (police station, town hall, embassy...).

As of November 2019, their procedures are simplified: they now have only one document valid for all their schemes to be completed and returned, and they can do so via the Internet.

My retirement abroad

. This service is accessible:

• on www.info-retraite.fr by creating or connecting to your pension account;
• on www.lassuranceretraite.fr, www.agirc-arrco.fr or https://retraitesolidarite.caissedesdepots.fr by connecting to your personal space.

You will find a pre-filled document with your Insee number, your surname, your first name, as well as a list of all pensions in progress if you are affiliated to several schemes (you can request to receive an alert if the document is not yet downloadable).

When the certificate of life is validated by the competent authority, you can scan or photograph it to return it from your personal space, and track the progress of your approach.
