Theater plays, concerts, festivals, operas, ballets, documentaries, urban creations, humor, museums... France Télévisions launched at the beginning of February 2021, the ephemeral channel Culturebox dedicated to all the arts. The channel is extended until August. It is accessible free of charge on TNT channel 19 and on the france.tv platform. Ask for the program!
While cultural venues are closed, France Télévisions launched Culturebox to give the best possible exhibition to all the arts and to allow artists to keep the link with their audience. The channel, which was due to stop at the end of April, is being extended until August.
From 1er in May, Culturebox will no longer be available on TNT channel 19, but on channel 14, that of France 4. And only in the evening, from 8pm. When it was created, Culturebox was available 24/7. It operates without advertising but can benefit from possible sponsorships.
The program
In the morning: the distribution of documentaries.
In the afternoon: the rebroadcasting of France Télévisions' flagship cultural programs.
Early evening: the daily magazine of cultural news « Culturebox the show », with every evening five guests from the world of culture (interviews, portraits, artistic performances, discoveries in the region and overseas...).
In the evening: shows, exhibition visits, concerts, exclusive recordings made especially for the occasion as well as novels from the catalog of the public group. One theme is offered per day:
Monday: the theater;
Tuesday: classical, opera, ballet;
Wednesday: music;
Thursday: the urban show;
Friday: humor;
Saturday: big concerts;
sunday: museums (notably « One night at the museum » with a personality).
