TPE employees and home workers: now is the time to elect your unions!

Are you an employee of a very small company (TPE) or work for an individual employer? Between November 25 and December 9, 2024, you can vote to elect your union representatives. These elections concern nearly 5 million people, both employed and employed at home.

Trade union elections are held every 4 years. It will take place this year between 25 november and 9 december.

It enables employees who do not have a representative or an ESC (Social and Economic Committee) in their company to be represented, defended and advised by the trade unions of their choice.

The role of trade unions is to:

  • represent you in branch agreements or in inter-branch collective agreements;
  • represent you in the regional inter-professional joint committees (IRPCs) to defend your rights in terms of training, health at work, working conditions, professional equality, etc.
  • represent you on labor boards in case of dispute with an employer.

The list of candidate trade unions for which you will be able to vote is based on your December 2023 professional data.

Who can vote?

You can vote regardless of your nationality, and you are affected if:

  • in december 2023, you were employed by a company of less than 11 employees or employed at home, on a DTA, on a fixed-term contract or under an apprenticeship contract (regardless of your situation in 2024);
  • you are registered on the voters list (the list is based on the social data reported by VSEs and individual employers for the month of December 2023);
  • you are 16 years of age at the opening of the vote on november 25, 2024.

How to vote?

In November, you will receive voting materials by mail at your home:

  • your login and PIN to vote online: you will be able to vote from 25 november on the platform election-tpe.travail.gouv.fr;
  • a paper ballot and a postage-paid envelope for voting by mail.

The results will be published on December 9, 2024.
