Energy 2024 Check Window: you have until December 31, 2024 to request the check

Each year, the energy check helps millions of low-income households pay their electricity and gas bills. You haven't received yours and you think you're eligible for this help? Service-Public.fr explains how to apply through the Energy Check Window.

Depending on your income and household composition in 2022, you may be eligible for the 2024 energy check. The amount varies between €48 and €277 and allows you to pay your energy expenses (heating bills or energy renovation work). It is possible to verify its eligibility for the 2024 energy check by using a simulator.

What is the energy check box for?

This window allows anyone who did not receive a check in 2024 to apply. But also for those who received a 2024 check, sent automatically, to have the amount of this check reassessed based on their 2022 income tax reported in 2023.

You must submit an application on the energy window by 31 December 2024:

  • if you did not receive a check in spring 2024 and you are eligible;
  • if you received a check in spring 2024 but your revenues changed. In this case, the amount of this check can be revalued based on your 2022 income tax reported in 2023.
