Public transport

The Freedom + service will soon be on your smartphone

Publié le 05 juin 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

From June 23, you can use your Liberté + pass via your smartphone for all your trips by public transport in Île-de-France. Service-Public.fr informs you.

What is the Freedom + Pass?

With the Liberté + service, you travel with a Navigo pass and only pay for the journeys made, everywhere in Île-de-France. It allows occasional users to use a single ticket on the entire Paris network. You can subscribe to it on the platform Île-de-France mobilities.

This service works as follows:

  • it allows you to pay only for the journeys made (it is not a package);
  • You do not need to reload it, it is still valid.
  • you get a 20% discount on the ticket price (€1.99 per metro/train/RER ride instead of €2.50; €1.60 per bus/tram ride instead of €2);
  • connections are offered (between bus/tram and metro/train/RER);
  • a levy corresponding to journeys made during the month shall be made on the 15th of the following month.
The Liberté + pass on your smartphone

As of June 23, you can load your Liberté+ pass on an iOS or Android smartphone, via the Île-de-France mobile or Apple Cards applications. You will be able to validate your trips to Île-de-France directly from your phone.

The digital version of the pass includes the same features as the physical card. This innovation is part of the desire to dematerialize all transport subscriptions in the Île-de-France region.

Please note

Some packages can already be loaded on a smartphone, via the Navigo pass: pass day, individual tickets or in notebooks and tickets OrlyBus or RoissyBus. Weekly, monthly or annual Navigo packages and the Imagine R package are not yet available on the phone. The full offering is being rolled out.

FYI

Since 1er January 2025, cardboard metro tickets are no longer on sale in train stations and subway stations. If you still have tickets, you can still use them in:

  • buses and trams to 1er November 2025;
  • the metro, trains and RER until summer 2026.
