Which establishments can accommodate a person in a precarious situation?

Different establishments can accommodate a person in precarious situation (in financial difficulty, isolated...) for a longer or shorter period.

Depending on the case, these establishments are open to all audiences or to certain categories of persons.

Nursery Centers

Pregnant women and single mothers (minors or adults) with their children under 3 years of age and in need of material and psychological support. These centers have nurseries.

Variable (from a few weeks to several months, until the child is 3 years old)

Young Workers' Homes (YWF) or Youth housing

Young workers aged between 16 and 25 (sometimes 30) pursuing a professional activity or training (traineeship, apprenticeship, etc.). Some FJTs also host students and job seekers.

Migrant Workers' Homes (MWF)

Migrant workers living alone, whatever their age, of legal foreign origin and working. Some FTMs also welcome people who are experiencing serious difficulties in finding housing (single-parent families, isolated people, etc.).

emergency accommodation centers must take into account, in the most appropriate way possible, the needs of the person being accommodated, in particular when accompanied by a pet.

The person in a precarious situation can claim his or her enforceable right to accommodation (Daho) if she has applied for accommodation but no accommodation suitable for her situation has been offered. It can also make its case right to enforceable housing (Dalo) it fulfills certain conditions (including resources).
