What is pre-professionalization for student apprentice teacher?

The 3-year pre-professionalization course is offered to students from the bachelor's degree (L2). It includes a university course and hands-on training. It replaced the Student Apprentice Teacher (EAP) scheme and is reflected in the pre-professionalization contract.
The pre-professionalization contract allows you to alternate university training and immersion in the classroom under the supervision of a tutor. This contract allows a gradual entry into the profession of teacher, as an education assistant, and to receive a remuneration.
To enter into a pre-professionalization contract, you must meet the following conditions:
- Be a student and enrolled in 2e year of license (L2)
- Have the professional plan to present a teaching competition

You want to become a school teacher
The professionalization contract is open only in the academies of Amiens, Créteil, Guyane, Lille, Limoges, Lyon, Reims, Rouen, Strasbourg and Versailles.
You want to become a college or high school teacher
The professionalization contract is open only in the following disciplines: German, English, Modern Literature and Mathematics.

As an apprentice teacher, you are present for a maximum of 8 hours per week in the school or institution for the entire school time. You carry out different missions there depending on your year of study.
During the year of License 2 (L2)
At school
Your missions are as follows:
- Observation and ad hoc intervention under the responsibility of the tutor
- Participation in aid for homework
In middle school or high school
Your missions are as follows:
- Observation and ad hoc intervention under the responsibility of the tutor
- Participation in aid for homework under the "homework done" scheme
During the year of License 3 (L3)
At school
Your missions are as follows:
- Educational activities, including intervention in complementary pedagogical activities (CPA)
- One-off intervention under the responsibility of the tutor
- Possibly participation in homework assistance
In middle school or high school
Your missions are as follows:
- Participation in coaching (supporting the pupil's ability to learn and progress) and interdisciplinary practical education (IPE)
- One-off intervention under the responsibility of the tutor
- Interventions in educational pathways
- Participation in aid for homework under the "homework done" scheme
During the year of Master 1 (M1)
At school
Your missions are as follows:
- Support for complete pedagogical sequences (including teacher replacement)
- Possibly participation in aid for homework
In middle school or high school
Your missions are as follows:
- Support for complete pedagogical sequences (including teacher replacement)
- Interventions in educational pathways
- Participation in aid for homework under the "homework done" scheme
The contract is a contract in partnership with certain universities. It's the rectorate that recruits.
This contract is for a period of 3 years (L2, L3, M1).
The contract is co-signed by the student and the school or school to which he is assigned.
