Is there a minimum area for an employee's workstation?

No, the labor code does not lay down no minimum area.
However, the employer must take the necessary measures to ensure safety and protect the physical and mental health employees.
The employee's workspace must allow him/her to sufficient freedom of movement in height and surface.
Each employee must have a comfortable workspace, adapted to their activity (individual office, workshop or sales space open to the public, for example).
The employer must put in place actions to prevent occupational risks physical constraints, work patterns and harsh physical environments.
The Afnor standard NF X 35-102 (paying) is a framework of reference that the employer can use.
