Can a private sector employee resign during parental leave?

Yes, you can resign during your parental leave respecting the standard procedure for resignation .
Your employment contract is then terminated at the end of your notice.
If the length of your notice does not cover all of your parental leave, you must return to company to complete your last days of notice at the end of the leave.
You inform your employer of your resignation 1.5 months before the end of your parental leave. Your notice period is 2 months. You must return to company to complete the last 15 days of your notice at the end of your parental leave.
If you resign because you have found a new job, you cannot start it before the end of the current notice period.
However, you can ask your employer's agreement to reduce the length of your notice or cancel it. Your employer is not obliged to accept your request.
