Are there specific obligations on the Scouts camps?

What applies to you ?
Whether you want to take part in scouting activities or enrol your child, be aware that the Scouts camps have special conditions compared to the traditional animation structures. They vary depending on whether the reception is with or without accommodation.
With accommodation

Up to 3 nights
Activities without supervision may be organised for minors in groups and over 11 years of age.
They must meet the following conditions:
- Characteristics of the activity specified in the educational project (organisation of living conditions, distribution of tasks...)
- Information and agreement of parents (signed at the time of registration)
- Preparation with provision of suitable means for the group and location identification (means of transport, accommodation conditions)
- Validation of the project by the leaders of the group (recognised by the national bodies of the movement) taking into account the autonomy capacities of the minors
- Manager reachable at any time during the activity
Short-term shelters and sleeping facilities (tents, sleeping bags...) are allowed.
Meals can be prepared by minors.
The approved scouting associations are:
- Scouts and French Scouts
- French Israeli Scouts and Scouts
- Scouts and Unionist Scouts of France
- Scouts and Guides of France
- Muslim Scouts of France
- Scouts and Nature Scouts
- Federation of Scouts and Scouts
- French Neutral Lightning
- Guides and Scouts of Europe
- United Scouts of France
From 4 nights
The camp manager must be at least 19 years.
The number of supervisors is 1 animator for 12 children aged 6 or over.
The camp manager may be included in the animation team in the following cases:
- Maximum stay of 4 consecutive nights for up to 80 minors
- Up to 50 minors aged 14 or over
Short-term shelters and sleeping facilities (tents, sleeping bags...) are allowed.
Meals can be prepared by minors.

- French Israeli Scouts and Scouts
- Scouts and Unionist Scouts of France
- Scouts and Guides of France
- Muslim Scouts of France

No accommodation
The camp manager must be at least 19 years.
The camp manager can be included in the animation team.
