Apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to travel to the United Kingdom
You have no need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) if you are in one of the following cases :
- You have a visa
- You have an authorization to live, work or study in the UK (including an established or pre-established status or right of residence)
- You are transiting through a UK airport without going through border control
- You are a British or Irish citizen
- You are traveling with a British Overseas Territory passport
- You are traveling with a British National (Overseas) passport
- You live in Ireland and travel from Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man
- You are a child traveling with the UK-France school travel information form
- You are exempt from immigration control
- You are a dual national and you are a British or Irish citizen.
All other travelers must obtain an ETA, including babies and miners.
