Consumer Credit Guarantee (Document Template)

When a person takes the security of a privately signed document, it must precede its signature by the handwritten entry next:

In the case of a simple security, the following paragraph shall be added:

"Backing me up for [First and last name of the person for whom you are surety] , up to the sum of [sum in euro] covering the payment of principal, interest and, where applicable, penalties or default interest and for the duration of [duration in months or years] , I undertake to repay to the lender the amounts due on my income and assets if [First and last name of the person for whom you are surety] don't satisfy it himself."

In the case of joint and several surety, the following paragraph shall be added:

"By waiving the benefit of the discussion defined in Article 2298 of the Civil Code and by obliging me jointly and severally with [First and last name of the person for whom you are surety] , I undertake to reimburse the creditor without being able to require him to proceed beforehand [First and last name of the person for whom you are surety] ."
