Retirement assistance (ADR.) for a self-employed person

You are self-employed near retirement or recently retired. You meet financial difficulties at that time. You can then benefit from a retirement support scheme (ADR.). This is a financial assistance punctual. You have to fill out some conditions. We explain everything to you in detail.

What conditions do you need to meet?

To be eligible for ADR., you must meet the following conditions:

  • Have reached thelegal age of retirement
  • Be self-employed at the time of your retirement, i.e. to be an active contributor to the Social Security of the self-employed SSI: titleContent
  • Contributed more than 15 years and more than 60 quarters to the SSI: titleContent
  • To have been predominantly affiliated as a freelance over your entire career. At least 50% of your quarters contributors must have been self-employed.
  • Be non-taxable on income for 2 years pre-retirement civil

In which situations can you apply for ADR.?

You must be in theone of the situations following:

  • Self-Employed upon retirement
  • New retiree from your self-employed activity: you must then apply during the year of your departure
  • A future retiree from your independent activity who has difficulty in pay for your last contributions. You can apply 6 months before your departure. If it is accepted, it will be paid at the time of cessation of activity, not before.
  • Retired in job-pension cumulation
  • Your collaborating spouse

The amount of compensation awarded depends on the applicant's social situation.

It shall be determined by case by case according to your income.

It may not exceed €10,000.

FYI  

The aid shall be paid in one only once at the time you stop your activity or in the year of your retirement, never before.

To apply for ADR., you must complete the following form

You should do the following:

  1. Download the form to your computer, phone or tablet
  2. Complete the form
  3. Save the completed form
  4. Make sure you have filled it out correctly
  5. Forward the completed form to the Urssaf of your place of employment

What documents should be provided?

You must attach supporting documents following:

  • Your last 2 tax or no tax notices
  • Your retirement or pension application notifications
  • Your RIB: titleContent staff

Meet deadlines

The application may be filed:

  • within 12 months of the date of retirement
  • or in the 6 months preceding retirement for non-current contributors.

The Urssaf Health and Social Action Commission is reviewing your case. It shall inform you of the decision and of the amount of any aid granted.
