Adults can write a statement in which they specify their wish regarding their end of life in case of serious and incurable illness (advanced or terminal phase), this is called
advance directives

The advance directives in particular, it can be used to indicate whether the person wishes to limit or stop the treatments in progress, to be placed on artificial respiration or to be relieved of their suffering even if this may lead to their death.
These directives, which are written on free paper, must be dated and signed. They have an unlimited period of validity, but they may be amended or canceled at any time.
It is also important for those who have drafted guidelines to make known:
their existence, informing their doctor and relatives;
and their place of conservation (the shared medical record allows you to register your advance directives).
