What fees for the tenant?
Some fees apply if you go through an agency. They are capped by the law.
Rental costs:
They cover the visit of the accommodation, the management of the file and the drafting of the rental contract. They're capped. A simulator of the applicable fare in your city is online at Service-public.fr. The inventory done with an agency is also paid.
State of play fees:
They're from €3 per m² maximum within the limit of the amount invoiced to the lessor. Only the state of entry can be invoiced by the agency. It's free at the exit.
Rental between private individuals:
If you find accommodation without an intermediary, there is no charge.
Reservation check:
With or without an agency, no check (or sum) is due, it is prohibited.
