What changes on February 1, 2020

Motorways

Motorway tolls increase by 0.71% to 1.59% on average from 1^er February 2020. The average increase in these fares is 0.90% on all businesses of operation of the motorway network.

Taxis

Published in Official Journal as of december 29, 2019, the new taxi fares must come into effect no later than 1^er February 2020. In 2020, the minimum fare for a race will be €7.30 for all taxis (Parisians and non-Parisians). The price of the pick-up is capped at €4.18. Flat rates for flights to airports are also changing.

Electrical

From 1^er In February 2020, the regulated electricity sales tariffs of EDF and local Companies of distribution (ELD) increase on average by 2.4%.

Gas

Engie's regulated gas sales rates drop by 3.3% on average at 1^er february 2020 in relation to the scale applicable since 1^er January 2020.

Savings

Fixed at 0.75% since 1^er August 2015, Livret A rate will increase to 0.50% from 1^er February 2020. The regulated rates for other savings books will also be modified: the rate for the Sustainable and Inclusive Development (LDDS) book at 0.50% and the popular savings account (PEL) rate at 1%.
