Do you ever charge your phone while you're in the bath? Beware of the risk of electrocution! The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF) reminds us of the good actions to take to avoid a cause of increasing mortality.
Using a mobile phone in your bathroom while plugged into the mains to charge it puts you at risk of electric shock that can lead to death. The same applies to any other electrical appliance and to any circumstance where you are in contact with water (wet hands or feet).
The DGCCRF therefore recommends that you:
charge your electrical or electronic devices outside wet rooms;
do not use in the bathtub or shower an electrical appliance connected to the mains, including a waterproof and waterproof telephone;
do not operate any plugged-in electrical equipment with wet hands or feet or with feet in water.
