How do I know if you are concerned?

Where the data breach may create a high risk to rights and freedoms, the responsible bodies have an obligation to inform the data subjects directly that their data have been compromised and published online. You must therefore check your emails or your mailbox because the AP-HP has undertaken since September 17, 2021 an individual contact campaign with the tested persons concerned.

What data can be compromised?

Data leakage includes the following information, which is filled in during the test:

• surnames and forenames;
• date of birth;
• sex;
• the social security number;
• mailing, e-mail or telephone number;
• the characteristics of the test used;
• the result of the test.

This information, related to contact tracing, does not include any other medical information.

What to do?

1. Be careful with phishing attempts. Phishing is to send you a fraudulent email or SMS that you feel is more realistic because of the use of the data retrieved through the data leak (a so-called email from your doctor or Social Security for example).
2. Check the accounts associated with your Social Security number. Monitor the activity of your related online accounts, change the passwords of these accesses.
3. React if you think you have been the victim of identity theft. If you suspect that you are a victim of identity theft as a result of the disclosure of information about you, you can:
   
   • go to the site cyber malware.gouv.fr for advice on how to prevent spoofing
   • file a complaint as soon as possible with a police station or gendarmerie.
