The fuel rebate was further extended, this time by four months, to December 31, 2022, according to a decree issued on August 23 in the Official Journal. Initially scheduled until 31 October 2022, the 30 euro cents per litre fuel rebate was extended until 15 November 2022 due to the difficulties encountered by road users in obtaining fuel (Decree of 25 October 2022).

The fuel rebate increases to 10 euro cents per litre of the 16 November to December 31, 2022.

This reduction applies to all fuels: B0, B7, B10, B30, B100 and XTL, including non-road (GNR), SP95/98-E5, SP95-E10, GPL-c, CNG in compressed (CNG) or liquefied form (LNG), superethanol E85, diesel ethanol ED95.

It benefits all private and professional uses: road, rail, river and marine vehicles (including transport, tourism and fishing), agricultural and forestry machinery, building, public works, extraction, as well as stationary companies.

The discount is applied by wholesalers distributing fuel at service stations. The State then pays them a subsidy corresponding to the volumes delivered. In the stations, the discounted prices are displayed on the totems as well as on the prices at the pump. The amount of the discount is indicated on the tickets.

Small service stations may request assistance of between €3,000 and €6,000, depending on the volume of fuel sold, to deal with the discrepancy between the price of the fuel stored and the cost of acquiring the remaining fuel in their tanks.

This reduction is calculated with VAT: either 25 cents of VAT reduction plus 20% of VAT (30 cents), then 8.33 cents of VAT plus 20% of VAT (10 cents).

In Corsica, VAT is 13%, the reduction is 28.25 cents until 15 November, then 9.42 cents until the end of December.

In addition, since oil products are exempt from VAT, the reduction is 25 euro cents VAT per litre, followed by 8.33 euro cents VAT in Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, La Réunion and Mayotte.

Originally scheduled from 1to from April to 31 July 2022, the 18 euro cents per litre rebate had been extended until 31 August 2022, according to a decree published in the Official Journal of 24 July 2022.
