Care, education, justice, social protection... If you consider that a child's fundamental rights are not respected or that a situation affects his or her interests, you can appeal to the Ombudsman.
You have the possibility to enter the Defender electronically by filling in an online complaint form.
You can also:
contact the representatives of the Defender of Rights providing permanent services at various reception points (prefectures, sub-prefectures, justice and law houses);
call 09 69 39 00 00;
send direct post without postage (Defender des droits - Libre reply 71120 - 75342 Paris CEDEX 07).
Children and adolescents can also contact the Defender themselves.

As is the case every year, the International Day for the Rights of the Child is held on 20 November. This year it celebrates the 30the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
