Judicial reform: changes in civil procedure

This decree comes under the 2018-2022 Law on Programming and Reform for Justice, which provides, among other things, for the merger of the Magistrate's Court and the Magistrate's Court.

Thus:

• IT and IMTs located in the same municipality merge at 1^er January 2020 to form the court;
• the IT located in a different commune of the TGI becomes a local chamber of this judicial court, called a local court.

The decree details in particular the procedure applicable before this new judicial court, which retains, while simplifying, the main features of the procedures applicable before the two former courts.

Most of the provisions will come into force on 1^er January 2020 and will address ongoing proceedings.
