Housing subsidies: the reform will be implemented from 1 January 2021

When it is set up, information on household resources will be updated automatically every quarter so as to recalculate every 3 months the rights of beneficiaries. For example, your housing assistance for January, February and March 2021 will be calculated based on the revenues received from December 2019 to November 2020. April, May and June 2021 will be calculated with your revenues from March 2020 to February 2021.

For persons whose situation has not changed in two years, there will be no change in the amount of such aid. No further steps will be needed to collect this aid (the method of calculation, eligibility criteria and scales remain unchanged).

Finally, the payment will remain monthly and on a fixed date:

• the 25th of the month for those receiving low-cost housing;
• the 5th of the month for other recipients.

You don't have to take any steps, unless your OFA asks you to.
