The first provisions of the UI reform were introduced in November 2019. Given the spread of the coronavirus and its impact on jobs, the implementation of the reform, already postponed to January 2021, is again postponed by three months, until 1er April 2021. The seven-question update.
At the end of the social conference held on 26 October 2020 at the Hotel Matignon, the postponement of the application of the unemployment insurance reform to 1er April 2021 was announced by the social partners and confirmed by the Prime Minister.
Prior to this further postponement, a decree published in the Official Journal on 30 July 2020 provided for the postponement to 1er january 2021 of the second phase of the unemployment insurance reform and the suspension of measures already in force since 1er November 2019.
