As Disability Employment Week takes place, Dares is releasing the latest Employment Obligation for Disabled Workers (OETH) figures for 2018. The direct employment rate of disabled workers, which had risen from 2013 to 2016, is stagnating for the second year in a row.
6% manpower. This is the Disabled Workers Employment Obligation (OETH) which concerns any employer of at least 20 employees (private and public sector). Thus, companies subject to the OETH who do not employ any disabled employees (they are 9%) must pay a financial contribution to the Association for the Management of the Fund for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (Agefiph).
In its November 2020 publication on the employment obligation of workers with disabilities in 2018, the Directorate for Research, Studies and Statistics (Dares) notes that the direct employment rate varies according to several criteria such as the sector of activity or the size of the establishment concerned (read more about Vie-publique.fr).
