Property tax, housing tax... the fiscal calendar

As a guide, these are the main deadlines for September and October 2021.

Main September deadlines:

• 15 September: deadline for payment of the real estate wealth tax, if you do not use a dematerialized payment method.
• 15 September: deadline for payment of the balance of income tax and social security contributions. If your income tax amount is not automatically collected and you do not make a payment online, you have until that date to pay it.
• 20 September: deadline for payment of real estate wealth tax on the Internet. The levy will be collected as of September 27, 2021.
• September 20: Deadline for payment of the balance of income tax and social security contributions on the Internet.
• September 27: date of income tax and social security taxes.
• 30 September: deadline for adherence to the levy at the end of the property taxes.

Main October deadlines:

• 15 October: deadline for payment of property taxes, if you do not use a paperless payment method.
• 15 October: 10^e monthly levy, for all monthly taxes.
• 15 October: 10^e monthly payment on account of the withholding tax on income (income of self-employed persons or farmers, income from land, maintenance payments, etc.).
• 20 October: deadline for payment of property taxes, via internet, smartphone or tablet.
• 25 October: date of 2^e withholding income tax and social security taxes, if the outstanding amount of your income tax is more than €300.
• 31 October: the deadline for joining the levy at the end of the housing tax and the contribution to public broadcasting. Deduction from your bank account will take place as of November 25. Your tax collection contract at maturity will be renewed for your 2022 residential tax unless you advise otherwise.
