The LDC for all women is allowed

Assisted reproductive technology (ART) now allows a couple of 2 women or a single woman to have a child. Until now, it has been reserved for heterosexual couples on medical grounds. The medical criterion of infertility was also deleted. The age requirements for eligibility are as follows:

• oocyte sampling can be done in women up to age 43^e birthday.
• men can donate their sperm up to its 60th^e birthday.

In order to be able to use ART later, women and men can have their gametes (oocytes or sperm) frozen without medical justification. The age requirements are as follows:

• oocyte sampling in women is done between 29^e and 37^e birthday;
• semen can be collected from men between 29^e and 45^e birthday.

The AMP itself is possible:

• up to its 45th^e birthday in a woman, unmarried or in a couple, who has a vocation to bear the child.
• up to its 60th^e birthday to the member of the couple who will not carry the child.

The rules of good clinical and biological practice laid down by theorder of 11 april 2008 apply to assisted reproductive technology activities carried out at the request of female couples and unmarried women.
