What is waste? How can we avoid producing so much? As the European Waste Reduction Week (SERD) runs from 16 to 24 November 2019, find some practical tips on how to reduce your waste on a daily basis.
Borrowing or renting, reuse, repair, barter, less packaging, eco-refills, purchase of the useful quantity, reusable shopping bag, seasonal and local consumption, purchase by cut or in bulk, reusable crockery, rechargeable batteries, less paper printing... As many as everyday gestures which can significantly reduce waste and also save money.
FYI
Each of us produces 568 kg of waste per year, which ends up in our garbage cans and sorting containers. That's twice as many as it was 40 years ago. Food waste alone accounts for 30 kg per year per capita.
