Retirement Savings Plan
From 1 Oct. 2020
Retirement savings: Perp, Madelin contract, Perco, Préfon are no longer marketed
Publié le null - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
Since 1er october 2020, you can no longer subscribe to one of the old retirement savings products because they are no longer marketed. These are the People's Retirement Savings Plan (Perp), the Madelin contract for the self-employed, the Collective Retirement Savings Plan for employees (Perco), the Prefon for civil servants. You've already opened one of these plans, what's the difference? What other retirement savings plan is available?
You can choose to keep your old plan open or transfer it to a new RRSP (retirement savings plan) that has been in existence since 1er October 2019. The ERP takes three forms:
- the individual PER succeeding the Perp and the Madelin contract;
- the collective company ERP which succeeds the Perco;
- the compulsory company RIP which succeeds the Article 83 contract (collective life insurance contract concluded by a company for the benefit of some of its employees).
If you wish subscribe to a PER, find all the necessary information on our sheet.
FYI
The replacement of these old retirement savings products by the new RIPs was initiated by the Covenant Law (on company growth and transformation) and provided for in the Ordinance of 24 July 2019 on the reform of retirement savings.
