As of 1er January 2021, the social security coverage of hearing aids is evolving. Insured persons choosing the appliances included in the
100% health
will be fully reimbursed. The price of the first model will be capped at €950 (instead of €1,100 in 2020) for persons over 20 years of age. €240 will be covered by the Health Insurance and €710 by health supplements. This full reimbursement (with no dependant) of hearing aids was provided for under the reform known as
100% health
by a decree published in Official Journal of 12 January 2019.
Class I hearing aids, which are part of the offer
100% health
are subject to a selling limit price and are fully refunded. These are equipment with at least 3 options: tinnitus reducer, wireless connectivity, wind noise reducer, 2-ear sound synchronization, adaptive microphonic directivity, increased bandwidth ≥ 6,000Hz, sound learning, reverberation reducer. They are offered with a minimum 30-day trial period before purchase and a 4-year warranty.
Class II hearing aids, outside the
100% health
, are free-price devices in which the functionalities of the devices do not make it possible to guarantee an absence of any charge. However, the remainder is moderate.

To be eligible for reimbursement for a custom-made device, you must present a prescription to a hearing care professional. Since 1er in january 2020, all hearing care professionals must prepare and propose a quote with at least one offer
