Would you like to apply for the first year of a master's degree at the beginning of 2024? Applications will be submitted on the national My Master platform starting on 26 February. Open since January 29, the site allows students to discover all the masters courses offered by universities in 2024-2025 and to submit their applications.

Created in 2023, monmaster.gouv.fr is the platform for students enrolling in the first year of a national master's degree. It is the only site to consult the complete offer in master for the September 2024 school year and to register.

The submission of applications starts on February 26 for all universities.

Candidates may state:

  • 15 greetings in classical formation;
  • and 15 wishes in alternance training.

A master's degree is a wish, even if a student applies for several identical courses. However, it is possible to apply for several courses within the same master's degree and this will only count for one wish.

Monmaster.gouv.fr lists approximately 3,500 master's courses. Research may be carried out by reference, by route, by establishment or by place of training, for example. Students have access to training expectations, application procedures, registration fees and training capacity.

Timetable for applications

  • january 29, 2024 : opening the platform to students who can consult the entire range of university offers;
  • from 26 february to 24 march : applicants submit their applications according to a common timetable for all universities;
  • April 2 to May 28 : institutions review applications;
  • from 4 June to 24 June : admission phase with a redistribution of the places not selected by the candidates. A candidate may not accept two proposals simultaneously;
  • from 25 June to 31 July : additional stage of admission.

FYI

for work-linked training, the examination and admission phases for candidates run from 2 april to 24 june 2024.

A new complementary phase of admission in 2024

In 2024, the platform will offer a complementary phase from 25 June to 31 July. It will be addressed to candidates who have not yet confirmed their final wishes.

They can formulate 10 new wishes.

  • From 25 to 30 June: candidates submit new applications and rank those still pending;
  • From 1er by 12 July: institutions review applications;
  • From 15 to 31 July: additional admission phase.

FYI

the wishes provisionally accepted shall be definitively accepted at the end of the supplementary phase.

Please note

the ministry states that institutions remain responsible for the admission of candidates. The platform is a facilitative tool to connect students and institutions, it does not use an algorithm.
