College scholarship: new amounts and automatic study of scholarship law

The college scholarship is awarded for a school year to families whose income does not exceed a certain ceiling, defined according to the number of dependent children. It is possible to apply for several scholarships if you have several children enrolled in college.

The resources and the number of dependent children are justified by the income tax notice. For the 2024-2025 school year, it is the 2024 income tax notice for 2023 that is taken into account (reference tax income).

Families with modest incomes are also eligible for other educational support such as back-to-school allowance (RSA) or the college social fund.

Campaign Calendar 2024-2025

The 2024-2025 college scholarship application campaign opens on the day of the school year and runs until:

• October 17, 2024 for public and private institutions, whether the application is made online or in paper form;
• October 31, 2024 for students enrolled in the National Center for Distance Learning (Cned).

New ways to apply for the bursary in the fall of 2024

As we enter the 2024 school year, the terms and conditions for applying for a scholarship will evolve to allow for automatic consideration. When your child enrolls or re-enrolls in middle school, you can consent to the automatic study of your right to a scholarship. This agreement is equivalent to a scholarship application.

For the automatic study of the right to the scholarship, you will be asked to complete your extended civil status data (surname and forenames, date and place of birth, as well as those of your potential cohabiting partner). This is to enable the recovery of the tax data necessary for the examination of the grant application.

If you do not wish to give your consent for the automatic study of the right to the stock exchange, you will need to apply for your scholarship online between 1^er september and october 17, 2024 inclusive.

The application is accessible to all public colleges of all academies by connecting to the portal School-Services. You can access this portal via EduConnect or via FranceConnect.

Your child is attending private school

The application for the scholarship can only be made using the application form for the national college scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year; it must be sent or deposited with the secretariat of the children's college with the supporting documents requested.

Your child is attending the National Center for Distance Learning (Cned)

The application for the award must also be made using the form. This must be sent, together with supporting documents, to the Cned.

2024-2025 disbursement amounts and dates

For 2024-2025, the amounts of support are as follows:

• €114 for step 1;
• €315 for step 2;
• €495 for step 3.

The payment is made in 3 installments, in each quarter of the school year, namely:

• end of december 2024 for 1^er Quarter;
• end of march 2025 for 2^e Quarter;
• end of june 2025 by 3^e quarter.
