The high school grant is a means-tested financial assistance to enable eligible parents to cover the costs of their child's schooling (supplies, textbooks, etc.). It is divided into 6 steps which determine the amount to be allocated according to the number of dependent children in the household and the parents' income. Following the first application, it will be paid automatically during the following high school years.

2023-2024 Campaign Schedule

The national high school scholarship application campaign runs in two periods:

  • A first period from May 29 to July 5, 2023;
  • A second period of the 1er September to October 19, 2023.

Applications are made online or with a specific application form for a national high school scholarship.

What are the award criteria?

  • Family resources: for the year 2023-24, the reference tax income recorded on the 2023 income tax notice for 2022 is taken into account;
  • Dependent children: the number of minor children or children with disabilities and the number of adult unmarried children for whom you are responsible.

For cohabiting parents, their two incomes are taken into account. In the case of alternating residence, the income of the applicant for the grant or that of his/her reconstituted household shall be taken into account.

How to make your request?

For pupils attending a public school

  • Your child was in class threee in a public college and enters high school in September 2023;
  • Your child is already in a public high school and does not benefit from a scholarship but he or she meets the conditions to be eligible.

You have two options to apply, respecting the dates of the campaigns (May 29 to July 5 and July 1er September to October 19, 2023):

Warning
