From 1er in july 2019, information notices will have to be provided with the drone packaging put on sale. A decree and a decree to this effect were published in the Official Journal of 21 April 2019 following the law of 24 October 2016 strengthening the security of the use of civil drones.
The content of this notice (annexed to the decree) includes the 10 rules to follow for any use of a recreational drone:
I don’t fly over people;
i respect the maximum flight heights (generally 150 meters high);
i never lose sight of my camera and i don't use it at night;
I do not fly over public space in a built-up area;
I do not fly near airfields;
i do not fly over sensitive or protected sites (nuclear power stations, military land, nature reserves...);
i respect the privacy of others, do not broadcast my footage without the consent of the persons concerned, and do not make commercial use of it;
if my device weighs 800 grams or more, i have to comply with certain legal obligations (device registration, training, electronic reporting device equipment);
I check the conditions under which I am insured for the practice of this activity;
in case of doubt, I check with the Civil Aviation Directorate (DGCA).
