The maximum permitted blood alcohol level for drivers using an ignition interlock breathalyzer (EAD) is standardized and set at 0,1 mg/l of expired air, by a decree published in Official Journal of 23 August 2019.
From 1er October 2019, the maximum permitted alcohol level will be 0.1 mg/l of expired air (0.2 g/l of blood) for all drivers whose right to drive is restricted to the use of a vehicle equipped with an approved DAE device.
FYI
The EAD is a system for analyzing the air expelled by the driver integrated into the electronic system allowing the vehicle to start. It is proposed as an alternative to the withdrawal of licenses for persons with a BAC of more than 0.8 g/l.
The equipment and installation of the device are the responsibility of the user.
