You had established a power of attorney for the second round of municipal elections originally scheduled for March 22. Is your power of attorney still valid for June 28? Service-public.fr answers you.
Powers of attorney established for the second round originally scheduled for March 22, 2020, remain valid for the second round postponed on June 28. This is specified in Article 6 of the Decree of 27 May 2020.
This applies to:
powers of attorney for which the second round has been explicitly mentioned in the Cerfa form ;
powers of attorney which expressly referred to the date of 22 March.
Therefore, if the proxy who is to vote in place of the absent voter has not changed, there is no need to establish a new proxy.
On the other hand, power of attorney issued for one year and which expired before 28 June cannot be used on 28 June because it has not been issued for the second round.
