Are you an employee and would like to obtain holiday vouchers to pay for leisure and holiday related services (accommodation, catering, cultural activities...)? We'll tell you what the process is to get it.

Holiday vouchers are payment documents that allow you to to finance holidays and cultural and leisure activities.

They come in one of the following forms:

  • Paper holiday vouchers in the form of a check book
  • Dematerialized Holiday Vouchers (connect holiday vouchers)

Holiday vouchers can be used by you, but also by your spousecommon-law partner or civil partnership partner and persons for tax purposes at your expense.

It all depends on the format of the holiday vouchers (paper or dematerialized vouchers).

Paper Holiday Vouchers

They take the form of currency cuts €10, €20, €25 or 50. €

It is possible freely change format at any time, from €30, to switch to cash vouchers:

Warning  

tourism and leisure professionals do not have to give change on paper holiday vouchers.

Dematerialized Holiday Vouchers

They are worth €20 to €60 for payments to the nearest cent.

It is possible freely change format at any time, from €30, to switch to paper holiday vouchers:

The fee for the format change is €10.

To obtain holiday vouchers, you must contact:

  • At the Human Resources Department of the company for which you work
  • Or at CSE of the company you are working for
  • Or to your employer

Warning  

The holiday voucher system is not not an obligation on the employer. So it's not not a right. The employer, after consulting the ESC or, in his absence, the staff representatives or any other body responsible for social matters, shall lay down any conditions for the award of holiday vouchers.

You must to finance part of your holiday vouchers. In addition, there is involvement of your company or the ESC.

Your financial contribution is always required before your checks are issued-holidays.

FYI  

In the companies with more than 50 employees, the CSE can support the full amount holiday vouchers, without company funding.

The employer's contribution the purchase of holiday vouchers may not exceed a percentage of their final value. This contribution shall not exceed:

  • 80% the value of the holiday vouchers if your average remuneration in the last 3 months preceding the award is less than €3,864 per month. Your participation is therefore 20% minimum.
  • 50% the value of the holiday vouchers if your average remuneration in the last 3 months preceding the award is more than €3,864 per month. Your participation is therefore 50% minimum.

These percentages are increased of 5% per dependent child and 10% per disabled child, holder of the disability card or priority card for disabled persons, up to 15%.

FYI  

The real value of the holiday vouchers is always greater than what they cost you.

Holiday vouchers are valid for 2 years, in addition to their year of issue.

For example, a holiday voucher issued in 2023 is valid until December 31, 2025.

Unused checks can be exchanged within 3 months after the end of the period of use against holiday vouchers of the same amount through an online service:

Request to exchange expired holiday vouchers or search for lost or stolen securities

To exchange dematerialized holiday vouchers, you must log in to your account and then go to the Exchanges menu.

Warning  

in the absence of a request for an exchange before the end of 3e months after the expiry of their period of validity, the checks are out of date.

The exchange is €10.

The terms of use depend on the format of the holiday vouchers (paper or dematerialized vouchers).

FYI  

Fraudulent use of holiday vouchers, in particular by persons other than the beneficiaries, or for expenditure other than that authorized, may be punished by a fine of up to €1,500 ( €3,000 in case of recurrence).

Paper holiday vouchers can be used in Metropolitan France , in Overseas and in the European Union.

They are accepted by the service providers contracted by the National Agency for Holiday Checks (ANCV):

Dematerialized Holiday Vouchers

Dematerialized checks can be used in Metropolitan France , in Overseas and in the European Union.

Dematerialized checks are accepted by online booking sites contracted by theNVCA: titleContent .

Cash checks can be used to make purchases remotely, 24 hours a day, but also on site.

In case of loss or theft of holiday vouchers, a procedure of search to theNVCA: titleContent. To do this, an online service must be used:

Request to exchange expired holiday vouchers or search for lost or stolen securities

Lost or stolen checks that have been used during their validity cannot be replaced. Only checks that have not been used can be reissued and sent.
