What do you do with an animal found dead on the street?

If you find a dead animal on the street, you can ask the city hall to come and remove it.
The collection and disposal of animal carcasses on public roads is the responsibility of the State.
Thus, in each department, a prefectural decree specifies the identity and contact details of the provider responsible for rendering.
This Prefectural Decree is posted in the town halls of the department concerned.
Where the owner of the animal's body is not identified within 12 hours of the discovery of the body, the Mayor shall request the rendering contractor to remove the body.
