In accordance with Article R. 224-7, in order to exercise his right of withdrawal provided for in Article L. 224-99, the consumer-seller:

-give the trader the detachable form or any other unambiguous statement expressing his wish to withdraw, no later than 48 hours from the day and time of signature of the contract;

-or send to the trader this form or any other unambiguous declaration expressing his wish to withdraw, by a means making it possible to attest to the date and time of dispatch, at the latest 48 hours from the day and time of signature of the contract.

If the 48-hour period expires on a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday or non-working day, it shall be extended until the first following working day at the same time.

The sending or delivery of the form to the trader and within the time allowed has the effect of canceling the purchase operation. Otherwise, the contract shall be concluded definitively.

Remember:

In accordance with the second paragraph of Article L. 224-99, the exercise of the right of withdrawal shall put an end to the obligations of the parties. The consumer must then refund the price received to the trader and, in return, the trader must return the item(s) purchased to him. If the item(s) purchased is not returned, the trader shall pay the consumer a sum equivalent to twice the selling price received for the item(s) purchased.

In accordance with the third paragraph of the same Article, the consumer-seller does not have a right of withdrawal for investment gold transactions.
