What is changing in April 2019

Family benefits

Early Childhood Care Benefit (PAJE), Family Allowances, Removal Allowance, Free Choice of Childcare Supplement (CMG), Education Allowance for Disabled Children (AEEH), Back to School Allowance (ARS)... At 1^er april 2019, family benefits are increased by 0.3% as stated in an interdepartmental instruction dated march 25, 2019.

Active Solidarity Income (RSA)

From 1^er April 2019, the SSA amount is revalued by 1.6% (for a single person, it goes from €550.93 to €559.74). That is what is stated in an order in council issued in Official Journal of 3 May 2019.

Complementary Universal Health Coverage (CMU-C) 

The new annual resource ceiling to be used for UHC-C shall be fixed, as from 1^er April 2019, at €8,951 for a single person.

Dental care

As of 1^er april 2019, dental fees are being upgraded while, at the same time, some dental prostheses are capped.

Cancer

As of April 2, 2019, the reimbursement of class 1 hair prostheses (synthetic hair) is increased from €125 to €350 for people with cancer who are receiving chemotherapy.

The new multi-channel listening and information service opened on April 2, 2019 Autism Info Service is in particular accessible by telephone to 0800 71 40 40:

• Monday from 9am to 1pm;
• Tuesday from 9am to 1pm and 6pm to 8pm;
• from Wednesday to Friday from 9am to 1pm.

Gas tariffs

Cooking, hot water and heating: at 1^er april 2019, regulated gas tariffs are decreasing on average by 1.9%.

Zero-interest Eco-loan

An Order of 18 March 2019 amended as of 1^er April 2019 the works eligible for the zero-interest eco-loan (eco-PTZ) and sets out the new models of standard application and justification forms to be used until 30 June 2019.

Automotive spare parts

An order issued in Official Journal of 12 October 2018 and entering into force from 1^er april 2019 specifies the terms and conditions for informing customers about the prices and conditions of sale of used car spare parts. Automobile professionals have to offer a re-use part instead of a new part for the maintenance or repair of their customers' vehicle (who can accept or refuse it).
