Officialized in 1977 by the United Nations, International Women's Day covers a number of events around the world with the goal of celebrating advances in women's rights. What were the different stages of the March 8 implementation around the world? What is the theme this year?

March 8 is a day of action, awareness and mobilization dedicated to the fight for women's rights, equality and justice. Several events and initiatives are taking place around the world on this occasion, including:

  • reflect, exchange, mobilize for equality between women and men;
  • take stock of what has been done and what remains to be done on the issue of women in business.
