Seven questions on unemployment insurance reform

The unemployment insurance reform follows Macron’s campaign promise to open up unemployment benefits to resigned workers and the self-employed. Initiated by law for freedom to choose one's professional future, she was announced by the Government in June 2019.

After the collapse of the negotiations between the social partners, a decree of non-compliance was issued. The decree of 26 july 2019 sets new unemployment insurance rules until 1^er November 2022 (read more).
