Mandatory end-of-second internship set up from 17 to 28 June 2024

A decree of November 29, 2023, establishes a mandatory internship for second-level students and technologists. Service-Public.fr provides an update on the news announced by the Minister of National Education.

SGS students will be required to complete a 2-week internship from June 17 to 28, 2024. This is an observation period that can be carried out in a company, association, administration, public institution or territorial authority.

This course will involve 550,000 second-graders. The aim is to enable students to deepen their knowledge of the trades and better prepare them for career choices. The terms of the rating and waivers will be announced shortly.

Please note

this new placement does not cancel the third placement. Students will still be required to complete a one-week observation period during their final year of secondary school.
