The video-complaint system, which has been tested by the Ministry of the Interior in the departments of Sarthe and Yvelines, will gradually be extended to the rest of France. Already operational in the Sarthe, it allows victims of crime to file complaints without having to travel to the police station or gendarmerie.

Video complaint is a free service to file complaints with police stations and gendarmerie brigades via the videoconference. Victims of offenses can choose an online appointment slot and file the complaint from their home or other location.

The service has been tested throughout the department of Sarthe (72) and in some cities of the department of Yvelines (78).

It is currently being set up in the Sarthe department. A February 23 decree confirms that it will be extended to the rest of France during 2024. An order must provide for the terms and conditions.

Reminder

you can only benefit from this service if you live in the cities concerned by the experiment. A verification of your place of residence is carried out at the beginning of the appointment.

The victim's agreement is recorded in the minutes.

On the My Security chat platform from the Ministry of the Interior, you have the possibility to exchange with a gendarme or a policeman 24/7.
