What documents do you need to drive in a scooter of less than 50cm3?

To drive on a 2-wheeler less than 50 cm3 (scooter, moped...), you need a document that indicates your age, and a proof of registration and insurance of the vehicle. If you were born after 1987, you must have additional documents.
You were born before 1988
To drive with 2 wheels less than 50 cm1 (scooter, moped...), you must have the following 3 documents:
- Document certifying that you were born before 1988
- Certificate of insurance of the moped, affixed to its surface
- Gray card (now called certificate of registration) of 2 wheels
Please note
driving a motorized 2-wheeler not registered on the public highway will expose you to a fine of up to €750.. In general, this is a flat-rate fine of €135..
You were born after 1987
To drive with 2 wheels less than 50 cm1 (scooter, moped...), you must have the following 4 documents:
- Document that attests that you are over 14 years of age
- Certificate of insurance of the moped, affixed to its surface
- Gray card (now called certificate of registration) of 2 wheels
- the BSR: titleContent or a driving license of another category.
If you do not show up, you may be fined up to €150.. In general, this is a flat-rate fine of €35..
