Translating a document: how to find a certified translator?

One certified translator is one forensic expert listed by each court of appeal.

You can consult the list of certified translators on the Court of Cassation website.

Foreigners Embassy or Consulate in France

Certain public documents drawn up in a European country (EU) may be presented without translation to an authority of another European country (EU).

In this case, the document must be accompanied by a multilingual form.Multilingual forms attached to public documents of a European State (EU)

The multilingual form shall be requested from the authority which issued the document.

However, the authority to which the European country (EU) may request a translation if necessary. In this case, the translation must be done by a certified translator.

The signature of the translator must be physically certified by the consulate.
