The aid is paid by the airport operator after your soundproofing work has been carried out and once your work invoice has been sent.

YesHowever, if you live next to an airport, the airport operator can provide you with financial assistance to soundproof your accommodation (apartment or house).

The airport must be affected by a noise disturbance plan (the 12 main airports in France are).

The sound disturbance plan (PGS) notes the actual discomfort experienced around the airport by identifying 3 zones (I, II, III). Zone I corresponds to the highest noise level.

You can view noise disturbance maps (PGSs) around airports:

If your request is accepted, the operator sends you a registered letter with notice of receipt indicating that you can have an acoustic study of your accommodation carried out.

1-Conducting an acoustic study

This study must be carried out by an acoustician or a specialist study office.

A list is provided in the annex to the decision granting the aid given by the airport operator.

This professional should take stock of your accommodation and define the objectives and solutions to be implemented.

He then prepares a report with an estimate of the cost of the work that he gives you.

The cost of carrying out this study is at your expense. To be reimbursed, you must send the airport operator a copy of the professional report and the invoice for the acoustic study carried out.

This shipment must be made by registered letter with notice of receipt.

2-Request for quotation for the execution of the work

Once you are in possession of the acoustic study, you can request a work estimate from the company of your choice.

You will need to send the estimate by registered letter with notice of receipt to the airport operator.

3-Examination of the aid application

Once the estimate has been submitted, the request for aid is examined by the Consultative Commission for the Aid of Local Residents. It gives an opinion on the geographical location of the dwelling (PGS area) and the noise intensity.

The airport operator then agrees to grant the aid. This decision is sent to you by mail.

4-Completion of the work

Once you have received the letter giving you the aid, you must have the work done within a maximum of 2 years.

You will receive financial assistance upon completion of all the work, and after having sent all invoices to the airport operator by registered letter with notice of receipt.
