Maternity Health Card (or Pregnancy Card)

You are pregnant and have a maternity health card (also called pregnancy record book) has been given to you? It is intended to provide you with clear information about the course of your pregnancy. It is sent to you free of charge by your department at the end of 1er prenatal examination. Every examination is recorded there by the doctor or midwife. This facilitates communication between health care practitioners. We present you with the information you need to know.

It makes it easier for health professionals and social workers to coordinate the follow-up of your pregnancy until delivery.

Please note

The Maternity Diary is currently being updated. The availability of the new booklet is planned for the end of 2025.

The maternity health booklet is issued to you for free by the services of your department during the 1st prenatal examination mandatory, i.e. before the end of your 3e months of pregnancy.

During each medical examination, the doctor or midwife records her findings and information on your maternity diary.

The notebook is your property. It is strictly confidential and covered by medical confidentiality.

Professionals who consult it and enter annotations on it shall be subject to professional secrecy.
