How to register for the peace and quiet holiday operation?

Are you going on vacation soon? In order to avoid burglaries, you can sign up for the peace and quiet holiday operation. The police or gendarmerie are responsible for monitoring your accommodation. Patrols are organised to pass near your home. You will be warned in case of abnormalities (damage, burglary ...).

To register, you can use the online service or go to the police station or the gendarmerie brigade.

The use of the online service does not require supporting documents.

Online

The online service allows you to determine whether the police or gendarmerie are responsible for monitoring your home.

Operation quiet holiday is possible in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments and regions.

Your subscription to the holiday peace operation must be completed no later than 3 days before departure if your accommodation is dependent on police services.

Your registration must be completed no later than the day before departure if your accommodation depends on the gendarmerie brigades.

to change your request (for example, change your absence dates because you are coming back from vacation earlier), you have to go to the police brigade or the police station. Online editing is not possible.
