What is the Disability Compensation Benefit (PCH) Parenting Support?

It consists of a human aid and a material aid.

Human aid

It allows to remunerate a person to help you take care of your child in everyday life.

Example :

You need the help of someone to put your baby on a changing table and do the necessary care because you lack strength in the arms because of your disability.

The PCH Parenting Human Assistance Hour Package varies depending on your child's age and whether you are in a couple or not.

Your child is under 3 years of age

You are in a couple (married, past or in a cohabitation)

It offers a 30 hours of human aid per month (the amount of this package is €900 per month).

You can use this package freely (for example, it can be used to pay your child's nursery fees).

You're raising your child alone

It offers a 45 hours of human aid per month (the amount of this package is €1,350 per month).

Your child is between 3 and 7 years old

You are in a couple (married, past or in a cohabitation)

It offers a 15 hours of human aid per month (the amount of this package is €450 per month).

You can use this package freely (it can be used to pay a fee, for example childminder).

You're raising your child alone

It offers a 30 hours of human aid per month (the amount of this package is €675 per month).

Technical Help

It supports the purchase of equipment (for example, changing table, stroller...). It is automatically assigned from time to time:

  • From the birth of your child
  • And to his 3e and sound 6e birthday

At birth

The amount of the aid shall be €1,400.

At the age of 3 of your child

The amount of the aid shall be €1,200.

At the age of 6 of your child

The amount of the aid shall be €1,000.

You are covered by PCH Parenting if you meet the following conditions:

  • You're in disability status and are beneficiaries human and/or technical assistance from FCH
  • You have 1 or more children aged with water maximum 7 years

You can make the request before birth of your child, and at any time before he was 7 years old.

To benefit from PCH Parenting, you must complete a form:

You must attach to the form:

  • One birth certificate your child or each of your children if you have more than one
  • One bank identity statement (Rib)

All documents must be sent to your departmental house for disabled people (MDPH), preferably by registered letter with notice of receipt.

You get human help every month on your bank account.

Disbursements of human aid stop when your child is 7 years old. 

Technical Help

You receive technical assistance to anniversary dates of your child in your bank account.

Technical assistance payments stop when your child is 6 years old.

Yes, you can combine the 2 aids provided they do not fund the same equipment.

Example :

If you have a wheelchair funded by PCH Technical Assistance, PCH Parenting Technical Assistance can fund a stroller that attaches to the wheelchair chassis.
